Thank you for visiting our First and Last Mile project open house.

Please stop by all the “tables” we have set up for you.  You’ll find information about potential projects, programs and policies we are exploring.

At Table 6, we hope you will provide your feedback and take our short survey. It takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Your feedback will help our project team as they finalize the planning process and develop recommendations.

About the project

Transit is a critical component of Washington County’s transportation system. Transit helps reduce automobile trips and congestion, provides travel options for people without vehicles or who choose not to drive, curbs greenhouse gas and other emissions and reduces transportation costs for individuals and families. However, getting to and from transit can be challenging for riders and would-be riders in Washington County.

The First and Last Mile (FLM) project is about addressing these challenges and developing strategies to expand travel options and leverage new technologies to make transit, walking and biking more convenient, safe and accessible for all who live, work and visit Washington County. Our project team is preparing a report to identify a range of potential projects, programs and policies that would support more people to use transit for everyday trips.
